Welcome to the Atlas, your roadmap to all things iOttie! Here we’ll be pulling back the curtain so you can learn more about who we are, what we do, and why we do it. Posts will include sneak peeks at upcoming product releases, behind the scenes interviews with iOttie team members, design stories and inspiration, more in depth looks at our sustainability journey and community initiatives, and helpful guides and how-tos.
WHO IS IOTTIE?
For anyone new to iOttie, we’re a small, dedicated team of designers, engineers, techies, and creatives working together in the heart of NYC. Founded in 2010, our mission is to create iconic tech accessories that simplify life. All our products are designed 100% in-house and include our best selling car mounts, wireless chargers, battery packs, power adapters, and even a dash cam. Design and functionality are at the forefront of everything we do. We hope that by treating each new product as a work of art, we can change the way people interact with and feel about tech accessories.
WHAT NEW PRODUCTS ARE WE WORKING ON?
Right now, the product we’re most excited about is our new Velox Pro and award winning Velox Elite dash and windshield mounts. This past January, during Pepcom at CES we were able to preview this latest addition to our Velox MagSafe compatible series. What makes these new dash mounts so cool (pun intended) is the advanced, patent-pending cooling system – dubbed CryoFlow – which actively cools your phone for the fastest charge yet.
The Velox Pro will be launching this Spring, while the Velox Elite, which will be Mfi-certified and was named a CES 2023 Innovation Award Honoree, is expected later this year.
But that’s not the only thing we’ve got up our sleeves for this year. Over the course of the Spring and Fall, we’ll be debuting several more additions to the Velox series including our much-anticipated battery pack, as well as an update to our best-selling Easy One Touch car mount and a new Auto Sense phone mount designed exclusively for foldables. Keep an eye on this blog for updates and more information on those upcoming product releases.
WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING AT IOTTIE HEADQUARTERS?
There’s so much happening here at the iOttie headquarters in NYC. We’ve recently moved into a new office space near Times Square and we’re already feeding off of all that new energy.
In addition to this year’s upcoming releases, we’ve also been refocusing on our community and sustainability initiatives.
Did you know that a percentage of every iOttie sale goes to Give Chances, an NJ-based nonprofit focused on reducing the income achievement gap? We believe in giving back to the community. In fact, social responsibility is one of the founding pillars of iOttie. From our inception, the goal was never simply to grow a business, but rather to create a company that can give back and support the very community that helped it thrive.
With the help of some of our iOttie team members, Give Chances recently released a new, updated version of their website. We highly encourage you to check it out and learn more about the wonderful work they are doing to support today’s underserved youth.
At iOttie, we also recognize our role as an industry leader and want to lead by example. That’s why we’re doubling down on our sustainability efforts. We started by rethinking our packaging, both in terms of materials and scale. Now, our packaging is 100% recyclable and plastic-free, plus the overall size of the packaging is smaller meaning less waste. We also switched to soy ink and removed full manuals in favor of scannable QR codes.
But we’re far from done. Right now, we’re looking at more ways to reduce our carbon footprint and create more sustainable products. Stay tuned for more updates on how we’re committing to a brighter tomorrow.
